Het Schaliënhuis is niet zomaar een huis, het is ook niet zomaar een B&B. Het is een huis vol speelgoed en boeken waar iedereen kind kan zijn. Het Schaliënhuis werd gebouwd door een rijke herenboer in 1564 en was alom bekend in de streek. Later werd het een prachthoeve waar meerdere generaties boeren de vruchtbare grond rond de hoeve bewerkten. Het boerengevoel is er nog altijd en het huis charmeert iedereen meer dan ooit met zijn dubbele trapgevel, zijn mooie tuin en ruime, gezellige kamers. Sinds augustus 2009 heeft het oude huis een nieuwe uitdaging aangegaan: het jachtige leven buiten de poort houden en ruilen voor wat tijd, rust en gezelligheid. Ben je alleen, met zijn tweetjes of met de hele familie: Het Schaliënhuis heet je welkom. Elke morgen staat er een ontbijt voor je klaar: verse broodjes, zelfgemaakte confituur, heerlijk beleg en dampend hete koffie. En niet te vergeten: een kakelvers eitje!
